• Nelson / Seaward 23'

    'Elena'

'ELENA' is a Seaward 23' built in 1998 by Seaward Marine to a design by Arthur Mursell (TT Boat Designs). She has GRP semi-displacement hull (professionally copper-coated beneath the waterline in May 2021) in dark blue Gelcoat laid up to a commercial specification. The superstructure and decks are white GRP and the decks have moulded light grey non-slip surfaces. There is hydraulic wheel steering to rudder, teak lower and rubber upper rubbing strakes and a demountable wooden antenna mast. The hull was professionally polished in 2022 and featured on the Faraclas website.

    ACCOMMODATION
The cabin has a double vee berth forward with a central table that can be dropped to form a double berth, and good stowage in various lockers and shelves. Aft to starboard is a well-designed galley consisting of a Plastimo Neptune 2000 2-burner gas cooker with grill, stainless steel sink, folding top to give additional worktop space and storage. To port is a separate heads compartment fitted with a Jabsco marine toilet (new pump assembly and seacock 2021), moulded basin, mirror, opening portlight and fitted storage for the table. Teak interior woodwork, grey linings and light blue upholstery with new foam and top padding (2024). Eberspacher diesel-fired warm air heating system. The wheelhouse has comfortable swivel-mounted helm and navigator seats, large, practical cockpit fitted with a wide bench seat aft (new cushion 2024).

    MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
There are two Yanmar 4JH-2HTE 4-cylinder 75hp turbo diesel engines located in insulated engine boxes. They are freshwater-cooled via heat exchangers with new, easily accessible glass-topped strainers. The controls are dual single lever with electric start. Shaft drive via Hurth gearboxes to bronze propellers. Twin exhaust alarms(2023).

The engines are in very good in appearance and maintenance has been very thorough. Full service history with details of all new service items including new turbochargers, exhaust elbows, strainers, shaft seals, cutlass bearings, and injectors services.
