    'Seiren'

    'SEIREN' is an exceptional vessel. After her long career as a pilot vessel she was purchased by her present owner and completely stripped and re-built to an exceptionally high standard with a great deal of attention to detail. She is in turn key condition today and would equally well be suited as the leisure boat she is or could very easily return to duties as a pilot vessel. She was re-engined at the time of the refit and above waterline exhaust outlets were moulded into the hull.

    She has run 1200 engine hours at present.

    She has three berths in the very large forward cabin. The heads are ensuite with this cabin. The galley is also in the forward cabin.

    The engine room with full standing height is midships, with steps at the aft end leading to the wheelhouse. At the forward end is a watertight door to the forward accomodation.

    FEATURES

    HISTORY.
    In 1974 the Kinngs Lynn Harbour Office commissionedthe building of a new harbour pilot launch under the supervision of the Pilotage Department at Trinity House, London.
    The GRP Hull was moulded by Halmatic of Havant and fitted out by Automarine Services at Bembridge, Isle of Wight.
    The launch was sold in 1992 to the Fenland District Council who operated her as the Wisbech Pilot Cutter until her disposal into private ownership in 2002. She was sold to the present owner in 2003.
    In 2004 she underwent a major restoration, with all work done to the highest quality and was relaunched in 2005. At the same time she received osmosis treatment and had an additional layer of glass matt applied. She was Coppercoated two years age.

    ELECTRICAL

    Engine Start Batteries. 4 x Varta Blue Dynamic G8 95Ah 830CCA 12v wired in series parallel (24volt).

    Auxiliary Batteries. 4 x Rolls S12-128AGM 115Ah 605CCA 12v. wired in series parallel (24v.)

    Windlass Batteries. 2 x Odessey PC950 34Ah 400CCA wired in series (24v). Sinergex PureCharge PC0524 5A charger.

    240v. System. Victron Phoenix multi 24/3000/70 charger/inverter. Victron Isolation transformer 3600W.

    Twin Cummins C220-20(CPL 2193) 162Kw9 (217 hp) @2200RPM. Holset H2DM (3527017) turbochargers are fitted to each engine, coupled to Twin Disc MG 5061A gearboxes (1.75:1 reduction). Shaft drive with SAE 3,m 146mm offset, 7 deg, down angle Vulkardan VKE-3211 Torsional Coupling, driving Clements Hyperform 4 blade 1.75" tapered bore. 23" x 25.5". Poly Flex P#8. 5CTF 90-30-20 (70) engine mounts. shaft seals are PSS HS 1.75" shaft. 3.25" sterntube.

    Fuel System. 2 x 700 litre tanks with Afriso DTA pneumatic gauges Separ SWK 2000/10 KD primary filters with 01030 elements. Fleetguard FF5052 secondary filters.
    Oil filtration. Fleetguard LF3000 filters
    Cooling system. Sherwood P1722A raw water pumps, gearbox oil coolers, heat exchangers with low flow/ high temperature sensors.

    Other Information

    Seiren has been meticulously mantained since her total refit in 2004. She is a real credit to her owner in the way he conducted the refit and has maintained her since. She is in turn key condition and with her workboat heritage is superb vessel for a mechanically minded owner or she would be fit go go back into full time pilot service.
